PeopleOnTheNews respects intellectual property rights and expects users and contributors to do the same. This DMCA Policy explains how to submit a takedown notice if you believe your copyrighted work has been reproduced on this site without authorisation.
Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you are a copyright owner and believe content on PeopleOnTheNews infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to editorial@peopleonthenews.com with the following information:
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- Identification of the material on our site that you claim is infringing, with sufficient detail for us to locate it (URL)
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf
- Your electronic or physical signature
Our Response
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will investigate and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content. We will notify the user who posted the content and provide them with an opportunity to submit a counter-notification.
Counter-Notification
If you believe content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to editorial@peopleonthenews.com. We will review counter-notifications in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
Repeat Infringers
PeopleOnTheNews has a policy of terminating the accounts of repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances.
